Will Power continued his domination of qualifications so far this season as the grid was set for Sunday's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The Aussie made it around the 1.968 mile, 12 turn street circut in 1.90649 seconds, keeping 2010 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay from defending his race win from the point.
After finishing on the lower steps of podium in each of IndyCar's past two visits to Long Beach, Power is hungry for a win on the historic street circut. “You know, it's going to be a tough race, but qualifying the way we did I think we put ourselves in the best possible position.”
Mike Conway will start on Row Two, along with Oriol Servia. Here are the complete qualifications results: http://www.indycar.com:8080/var/assets/indycar-results-quals19.pdf
In Firestone Indy Lights qualifications, Esteban Guerrieri notched his second Pole position in only his third series race.
The IndyCar race begins at 4:30pm ET/9:30pm GMT on Sunday.
