After a terrifying accident in the late stages of the 2010 Indy 500 ended Mike Conway's sophmore season, he has had only one goal in mind; to get back to the IndyCar Series ASAP. Now, after the damage to his back and leg have mended enough to allow for this to happen, he has landed what should be the best seat that was still open; the fourth car at Andretti Autosport.
"I was driven to get back into the series," Conway told reporters. "and to get back in with a team like Andretti Autosport is really something. I've been working hard since May of last year with the goal of returning and I'm all set to go. It's great to announce what we'll be doing; it's been a long time coming. The season is not too far away and I can't wait to start working with the team."
There is no word yet as to who the sponsor for Conway's car will be.
During his roughly one and one-third seasons at Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, the 27 year-old Englishman notched one top-five and five top-ten results.
