Three More For Tracy: Five More For Power
By Andrew Cutler
June 16 2009
We already basically knew that Paul Tracy had a ride for two Canadian rounds of the 2009 IndyCar season, but now we can pencil him in for Watkins Glen as well. KV Racing Technology announced yesterday that the popular veteran driver will make all three of the July events on the calendar.
For his part, Tracy couldn't be more excited: Despite nearly two decades on the AOWR scene, the 40 year-old has never raced at Watkins Glen before. "Now I have the opportunity to compete on one of the most famous circuits in the world for the first time. It feels a little strange that at this stage of my career that there are still some exciting challenges left and racing at Watkins Glen, with all its history, is definitely a challenge, but one I am looking forward to meeting."
It was also revealed yesterday that Team Penske will be giving Will Power a ride in a further five races yet this year. The squad has yet to officially announce just which races they will be, but one can make an educated guess. At the two previous 2009 events where Power's was the third Penske car (Long Beach and Indy), the pit crew came from Roger's Rolex Grand Am Series outfit. The five remaining IndyCar races that don't clash with the balance of the 2009 Rolex schedule are: Richmond, Toronto, Edmonton, Kentucky and Sonoma.

That upsets me but I guess that's the way it is.
Well at any rate I'm happy to see Paul back for three more.
