Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has announced that they have re-signed Milka Duno to a second year as a part-time driver for the #23 car. Duno, who is entering her third year in the IndyCar Series, will drive an as-of-yet unspecified number of races, starting with this weekend's event at Kansas Speedway.
Kansas was the track where, driving for SAMAX motorsport, Duno made her series debut in 2007 (I was there for that race). Once again, she has Venezuelan petroleum giant CITGO providing sponsorship support for her campaign.
"I'm really happy to be racing and to be back at Kansas," she told reporters. "The fans are very supportive. I'm also very happy to be coming back to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing as they did a great job last year. Finally, I must thank CITGO for their fantastic support. I really appreciate the opportunity to be back and will work hard to get some great results."
It would probably be safe to assume that Duno's contract will include a car for next month at Indianapolis.
