The Associated Press is reporting that the prosecution and the defense are both done making their respective cases in the tax evasion trial of Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves. Both sides will make their closing arguments on Thursday. From there, the fate of the popular Brazilian driver will be in the hands of the twelve jurors.
If convicted, Castroneves could face a sentence of up to five years in prison, plus a severe monetary fine. If aquitted, he would be free to return to his driving duties, possibly as early as the Long Beach race, which is scheduled for April 19.

Hopefully he will not be convicted as it will reflect badly on the sport.However should he be convicted let us hope that Elio is not imprisoned but rather be ordered to pay back all that he owes with interest.
In view of the current situation in F1 where dishonesty is becoming more common the sport MUST be cleared of all cheaters even if it means that popular drivers and teams disappear.
