More Sponsor Continuity For STR

In the days just prior to the launch of their 2013 challenger, Scuderia Toro Rosso was pleased to make a series of announcements regarding the retention of some of their biggest corporate sponsers from the past few seasons. Spanish energy group CEPSA, Canadian plastics producer Nova Chemicals and Italian motorsports safety equipment manufacturer OMP Racing have all 're-upped' for the comming F1 campaign.

This sort of continuity is a 'vote of confidence' in STR, and will surely prove to be a major weight off of the team management's minds.

“CEPSA is a proud supporter of the Scuderia Toro Rosso, which represents a major leap forward in our international expansion and the best possible showcase for technology and innovation at the very highest level of motor sport" CEPSA’s Co-Chairman, Santiago Bergareche, told the press. "We believe that Scuderia Toro Rosso shares many of our values and we look forward to enjoying a successful and mutually beneficial partnership throughout the year.”

Likewise, Nova Chemicals CEO Randy Woelfel noted that; “NOVA Chemicals, along with Toro Rosso, is committed to being a leader. The same qualities that drive NOVA Chemicals every day; focused effort, collaborative teams, straightforward communication and responsible people, also create success on the race track. Our shared values and drive to outperform the competition make Toro Rosso the right platform to help us expand our brand recognition beyond North America.”

The teams' contract with OMP provides for the use of thier products in the car, as well as by the drivers and crew.
