Toro Rosso to try new wings in Montreal

Maybe it is the well known advertising slogan of their sponsor ("Red Bull gives you wings") that was their inspiration. Then again, maybe it was just the never-ending quest to find that missing piece to the puzzle that will allow Scuderia Toro Rosso to challenge for championship points this weekend.

Whatever the reason, the squad from Faenza has developed a whole new set of front and rear wings for the STR2 that are especially designed with the characteristics of the Montreal circut in mind. "We will be running brand new front and rear wings in Montreal which should suit the low downforce nature of the track." relates STR's technical director Giorgio Ascanelli. "The front wing also requires new bargeboards and all these items will have their first track test on Friday. For now, we're having to trust in our wind tunnel data."
