Rubens Barrichello, one of BAR Honda's 2006 drivers, is sure that the Brackley team will give him what he needs to become World Champion.
"I am very happy because I think now the team has a true chance of becoming world champions," says Rubens Barrichello. "Two drivers with the full potential of becoming world champion, the backing of Honda and BAR and everything, I think that it is good we have two drivers capable of winning.
"I am delighted."
Rubens joins BAR Honda on 1 January 2006, managing to secure an 11 week break from driving an F1 car due to contractual obligations between his current team, Ferrari, and BAR Honda. Jenson Button, now confirmed at BAR Honda for 2006 and beyond, will therefore be taking on testing duties in that time.
"I was really hoping he [Jenson] could stay with the team," added Rubens, "so now he is going to have some hard work in November and December, when I am off, and then he his taking January off and I will be working."
Rubens Barrichello will be spending his break with his new born son, Fernando.
