BAR Honda complete three day twin venue test

Anthony Davidson and Enrique Bernoldi finished BAR Honda's three day twin-venue test at Monza today, running a massive 239 laps of the Italian circuit.

Testing alongside just one Ferrari and one Sauber, Enrique Bernoldi ran for 94 laps, setting a best time of 1:22.642 as the team prepares for the forthcoming Canadian Grand Prix.

Team mate Anthony Davidson went further, completing a mammoth 145 laps of the 3.6 mile circuit. Finishing the day just 0.380 seconds behind the Ferrari of Marc Gene, Davidson's best time of 1:21.811 put him second overall, ahead of both Bernoldi and Felipe Massa's Sauber.

BAR Honda topped the time sheets in testing at Monza on Wednesday, while a test at Silverstone yesterday saw them wind up fourth and eighth.

The team now prepare for the trans-Atlantic races at Montreal and Indianapolis, both races running back to back on 12 and 19 June. Both race drivers will have new engines at the Canadian race, with a small performance increase, along with new aero tweaks.
