BAR to use Michelin tyres at Barcelona

Contrary to speculation on other Formula One websites, Lucky Strike BAR Honda will be running at Barcelona on Michelin tyres, and will continue to use them throughout 2004.

A deal has apparently been done to free BAR from their contractual obligations to Bridgestone, meaning the team will now switch to the dominant French rubber.

It was only Saturday that Bridgestone said "We are still discussing the matter with them and hope to resolve the matter amicably but no final decisions have yet been made."
