Louise's Boyfriend to marry Louise

Lucky Strike BAR Honda's lead driver, Jenson Button, is to marry pop star wannabe and long time girlfriend Louise Griffiths, according to an article in The Sun.

"He arranged an appropriate dinner at the hotel and asked Louise to marry him," said a close friend to The Sun. "It came as a complete surprise to her and she accepted. Jenson then presented her with an engagement ring. They're a very strong couple and very happy."

Louise entered the BBC's Fame Academy in a bid to get a recording contract, but was voted out before the final. At her eviction she said "What I want more than anything now is to marry Jenson. He is the love of my life and I'm not going to let go of him for the next few days."

"We are both very happy as you can imagine and it's a terrific way to end what has already been a good year for us both," said Jenson on his official website. "Louise and I have been together for over three years and we had talked about our longer term plans, so it was the right moment for me to propose. Fortunately she accepted! We are both extremely busy at the moment so there will not be too much time to celebrate with family and friends until later in the year, but we have lots to look forward to."

Louise is still trying to get a record deal with Polydor, and reportedly has an offer from Virgin's Sir Richard Branson.
