Jenson says 'Thanks Dad' in his own special way

Lucky Strike BAR Honda star Jenson Button's Dad, John, was 60 last weekend. As well as fixing him up with a last minute party, Jenson rushed back from watching girlfriend Louise Griffiths on Fame Academy to give his Dad his birthday present.

"I couldn't believe it," said John. "There, under the porch, was a totally restored, virtually brand new 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. It's fantastic, black with silver arches. I drove it next day and Jens said 'hold on Dad, this thing hasn't been driven this fast ever' but I was still only in first gear."

John Button has been a massive help to son Jenson throughout his career, even now in Formula One. He currently resides in Monaco, and is wondering how the Corvette would look around the streets of the Principality.

He's even considering a return to racing too. But for the moment, the next aim is to take the Corvette to Goodwood's Revival meeting in September.
