Jenson's other half enters the Fame Academy

Lucky Strike BAR Honda's star driver Jenson Button's other half Louise Griffiths is appearing in the BBC's new series of Fame Academy.

Louise is one of 25 contestants competing for a £1-million recording contract and a luxury apartment for a year.

She's already passed the first stage, winning a place in the last 13, who will go on to spend some weeks in the Academy, receiving expert tuition.

Louise has worked as a door hostess at some top London nightspots, but has recently spent her time concentrating on her musical career.

The 25-year old used to be the lead singer in a girl band and once sang for Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

Louise has been playing the saxophone for seven years, and has reached Grade 6, but music isn't her only love, she's a great sports fan too and enjoys playing squash, tennis and basketball.

Louise lists Madonna as one of her biggest musical influences but she also adores Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Destiny's Child.

Louise also used to be in a girl band called Orchid, who originally recorded Sound of the Underground, which was later used by Girls Aloud and became the Christmas number one last year.
