Jordan has announced that Rick Gorne, one of the original founders of BAR has been given a position at the Silverstone based team.

Jordan Grand Prix is delighted to announce that Rick Gorne has joined the company in a consultancy role on new business acquisition.

Eddie Jordan and Rick Gorne are resurrecting a successful relationship from the 1980s when Eddie Jordan Racing won The British Formula 3 and International F3000 championships with Johnny Herbert and Jean Alesi respectively in partnership with Reynard where Gorne was Sales Director.

Gorne will continue to run his flourishing Goman driver management business in parallel with his consultancy role at Jordan Grand Prix.

Eddie Jordan, Chief Executive of Jordan Grand Prix, commented, "Rick and I have been friends since we were racing together in Formula Atlantic in the 1970s. We've had great commercial success together before and he will bring greater depth to Jordan's business acquisition programme as we take the company forward."

Rick Gorne was named Commercial Director at British American Racing in 1999. He switched to being Operations Director, before developing a young driver scheme for the team, all the time contracted to Reynard. He left Reynard for BAR full time in 2001, but soon left to develop young talent independently.
