All the upgrades are in place and it still seems to be up to the tyres.

We start the European home stint with another blow to the McLaren F1 team with Lewis being thrown to the back of the grid after an exceptional pole position performance. Again Alonso brings the Ferrari home in second, sadly out doing his team mate again with the revised starting line-up. Surprisingly a Williams took the much sought after pole position. Renault seals the second row with a Red Bull and a Mercedes making up the first six drivers. As you can see some of the normal hard hitters will be chasing from behind.

We seem to still be wondering if we will have yet another driver on the top step at the conclusion of the Spanish race. As much as I and other Mercedes fans it would be nice to see MS or another Nico repeat, but in reality this one may come down to being more pot luck. The Renault’s and Kimi’s experience just might be enough to open the door for the 2007 WDC.

That being said, we have fast and furious fist turn coming our way and the slightest minor calculation or error could have things go array.

This is why we all tune-in so let the best man of the day benefit.
