Heavy rain hit the Circuit de Catalunya today disrupting the test programme for the Formula One teams in Barcelona. Particularly wet conditions in the morning meant that Honda Racing F1’s Rubens Barrichello was limited to a single installation lap in the RA107.

The rain eased slightly by early afternoon allowing Rubens to go out on extreme wet tyres for a further installation run. The weather conditions then remained changeable throughout the session as Rubens worked through an aero evaluation on both the extreme wet and wet tyres, completing a total of 44 laps today. Jenson Button will take over the RA107 tomorrow with Christian Klien concluding the test programme on Thursday.
