Exhaust issues hamper test

The Honda Racing F1 Team concluded this week’s test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona today. Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello continued their driving responsibilities in the two RA107 chassis.

Jenson completed 98 laps as he continued to evaluate the set-up and balance of the car over longer tyre runs.

An exhaust problem which damaged the bodywork in Rubens' car concluded his running early after 39 laps.

With limited running, Barrichello managed a best lap time of 1:23.257, leaving him 13th of the 19 runners. Jenson Button finished one place ahead, just to tenths faster than the Brazilian.

Best lap of the day went to David Coulthard in his Red Bull, posting a 1:21.855 on a quick run.
