Coming out of Woodcote with the accelerator firmly planted on the floor, building up through the gears as you steer around to the right, you cross the start/finish line and arrive at the braking zone for Copse at around 280kph. Braking and changing down to fifth, you turn right and let the car run high up the kerbing on the left. It is very important to carry plenty of speed through here as poor rhythm and an unbalanced car around the first corner will spoil your flying lap.

Becketts is the next complex of corners, and some of the most exciting in the lap. Turning left flat out and then turning right, feathering the throttle and changing down to fourth, the car zips right and then exits the complex via Chapel Curve which leads you around to the left onto the Hangar Straight, the fastest part of the lap.

Flat out down the straight, grabbing seventh gear and nearly 300kph before braking at the end and taking fourth gear through Stowe Corner at around 100kph, , you notice the undulating track surface as the car goes down the short Vale straight. You then brake hard to lose 200kph in speed for the very slow left-hander at Club, which curves a to the right as you scrabble to get the power down and accelerate up the straight towards Abbey.

Abbey is another slow second gear corner, but there is no real opportunity to overtake as the car swings left and blasts down to the fast right-hander at Bridge Corner. Into the complex, and the cars pass left though Priory, left again through Luffield and then back into Woodcote to the right once more to bring them across the start-finish straight.
