"As always, Ferrari respects the decision of the FIA," Montezemelo told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “As far as what happened on the podium goes, we are in agreement with the decision made. Podium celebrations in Formula One must be like those in other sports such as football where there are national anthems.”

"What happened in Austria was once and will never happen again. But that does not mean that Ferrari will go against its interests. We will continue to give team orders. In sport they have always been given, in cycling, many other sports and also F1, therefore we will continue to give them.”

But more worrying for Rubens Barrichello was Montezemolo’s next remark, stating Ferrari had a number 1 and number 2 in the media is not something we have heard from the top brass in a long while. Barrichello assumes himsefl as number 1b!

"We have two drivers: a number one and a number two. F1 is a dangerous sport and we must make investments to ensure that we achieve the maximum that we can."
