Hisao Suganuma Bridgestone’s technical manager has admitted to disappointment that only two Bridgestone runners were in the top ten after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix,, but he spoke of his confidence for better results in the race on Sunday.

"I am a little disappointed with the results from qualifying because we have become used to seeing at least one of our cars on the front row and a good grid position is important here," he said in a press release. "However, I think we will see a big difference in our performance in the race situation tomorrow. In a longer stint I expect us to be more competitive because our tyres have shown good consistency this weekend."
