"The best barometer you can have is your teammate, and my record there speaks for itself. And Rubens extending his deal with Ferrari is not good news for me. If I was to get the chance to drive for them it won't be until 2005.”

”For some reason they don't seem to want an Italian in the team, which is strange to me. I look at Ferrari now and just know I could do a great job for them. The trouble is there is a lot of stigma attached to Italian drivers. People feel they are too emotional but I don't have that Latin temperament. I'm one of the calmest drivers in the pit-lane. Rubens is more Latin and emotional than me."
