Felipe Massa is happy to stay at Sauber now Rubens Barrichello is remaining at Ferrari. Massa was strongly linked with a switch to Ferrari before Barrichello extended his contract for another two years.

The Brazilian, who is rumoured to have a long-term agreeement with Ferrari – said he was not worried about the next few years as time is on his side.

"I am just in my fifth race in F1, so I have a lot of time to maybe race for Ferrari one day. I am really happy at Sauber and if I have to stay here two years or five years I’m really happy. Here is like my second family."

Massa admitted he would have loved the chance to pit his wits against Michael Schumacher in identical machinery.

"I’d want to learn from him, and try to do even better."
