The USGP is a very welcome addition on the F1 calendar for five times world champion Michael Schumacher. It allows the German driver a chance to escape from the constant attention he receives in Europe as the US allows him a lot more anonymity. Schumacher usually takes a short break in the US as he prepares for the race at the famous Indianapolis track and he is looking forward to another good weekend of racing.

The titles may be done and dusted but every race is there to be won and that’s the way he and the Ferrari team will look at this weekend once more. Schumacher is also keen to see how the final places in the titles shape out.

“The racing doesn’t stop whether the championship is decided or not,” said Schumacher. “We have seen this very often that races continued and still showed good fun. A championship is not only for the first position; there are other positions to be settled, as well, and the races still continue, fights still continue, and good action is going on.”
