Technical Director Ross Brawn is confident that the F2003 will be an improvement on the F2002 as the team are working so hard to do so. Work on the F2003 was started around the same time as normal but with the F2002 being so dominant it gave the team the chance to put all resources into the new chassis instead of splitting the resources. This will hopefully be a massive boost to the team and it’s 2003 chassis.

Brawn knows that it will be hard to be as dominating next season as he expects a lot more from Williams and McLaren next season. Ross thought the F2001 car was perfect but the way the F2002 has performed has shown him that the team can always improve. Speaking about the new car he says that so far it looks very encouraging.

Aerodynamics is one are that the team are most at work with as well as a higher horsepower engine, these are all to be expected not only from Ferrari but from the rest of the teams. But Brawn hints at more innovations on the F2003 and although they are only in the early stages he is confident that the team is well aware of how these innovations will work and what gains they should make from them. So much so that the Englishman believes that only a major screw up will see them lose performance compared to this year!
