Such is the glory of the all conquering F2002 it has shocked the rivals of Ferrari into reaction. No longer shall they produce their boring and mundane chassis’s instead McLaren are making a quantum leap and Williams are starting their own revolution. The simple fact is that the F2002 has only been beaten once this season so far and that was at Monaco where Michael Schumacher was blocked by a McLaren for the majority of the race. Other than that the F2002 has proved to be unstoppable as it looks set to net Ferrari a new record for constructor’s points scored.
So with 2002 a Ferrari whitewash the main rivals are already beating their jungle drums about their 2003 hopes. McLaren’s Ron Dennis has stated his miserable team will be taking leaps of the quantum kind in order to bring Ferrari back down to size. Nobody is quite sure what leaps the McMowers will be taking, but normally when Ron talks like this he turns up for a race in a brand new motorhome or gives his mechanics an extra zip on their space age suits.
Williams on the other hand are going for a revolution by their own standards. Reports suggest they are to copy the rear of the Ferrari and combine it with the front of a Sauber and this they assume will be their way to glory. The Williams fans got their knickers in a twist after Ross Brawn told the world that is their fault Ferrari are dominating, and it seems that most agree with Ross. Ferrari are not to slow down for their rivals, they are the ones to rise to a challenge or accept defeat gracefully.
So with all this talk of revolutions and quantum leaps the boys at Maranello must be feeling a little but worried about their dominance? Well no probably not as Ferrari will just keep going as they always have done, hard work and dedication is all they need. They don’t need to use the media to cheer us Tifosi up, they don’t need media articles about how good they will be in 2003, we already know this, and so it seems do our rivals.
