Jordan spend two days in Silverstone

Jordan Grand Prix have completed a two day test at the circuit across the road from the factory at Silverstone in Northamptonshire.

The circuit hosted a three day test with all of the F1 teams in attendance, except for Minardi and Sauber and as usual has kept up a top notch service to the teams and sponsors, liggers and fans who have passed through the gates over the last few days.

The test got off to a grey and dull start on Wednesday as the circuit opened, small spots of rain could be felt falling from the overcast skies, however the track stayed fairly dry through to the lunch break when the heavens opened and only the brave went out on very wet tyres.  Renault, BAR and Toyota decided that the weather was bad enough to forgo testing for the day and stayed warm and dry in their garages, saving one one of their days from the 30 day allowance.  It stayed very quite for a couple of hours after lunch while the rain fell then at around an hour before the session ended, the cars came back out.

Narain Karthikeyan was in charge of pushing the EJ15 around the circuit on the first day of the test and posted a fastest time of 1:23.276.  Narain's best time was set in only 35 laps of the circuit and was faster than new hopeful Nico "son of Keke" Rosberg.

Day two at the circuit started drier thank goodness although it remained overcast for most of the day.  The teams made the most of the weather running lap after lap.  Jordan gave the reigns over to Tiago for day two of the test who ran for over 100 laps, recording a time just slightly quicker than Narain.

Although the test ran for three days, the third and final day of the test was spent without the cars hitting the track.  The cars needed to be crated up and ready to ship out to Canada for the start of the next two fly-away grand prix.
