Fans pledge their support for Jordan

With more rumour doing the rounds, Jordan's Fans feel the need to get behind their team and to pledge their support to Eddie and the gang in what is undoubtedly the darkest time in the teams fourteen year history.

Messageboard poster Bassman started it off.  "I would like to place on record my Wholehearted support for Eddie Jordan in his almost impossible struggle to prop up the sport of F1." he said. "I say this because without teams like Jordan and Minardi the sporting element of this series will very nearly be lost."

"Good Luck to you EJ in your uphill fight to get the team through these ridiculous times." continued the fan.  "These are the situations where, in the past, Jordan has been able to pull off big surprises. Lets hope they can do it again and show the rest of the world that there are racers out there who live to compete."

We must concur with this point of view.  The likes of Jordan and Minardi are the very backbone of this sport.  As Pitpass.com pointed out recently, without the likes of these two teams providing opportunities for up and coming drivers, today's grid would look very very different. No Michael, no Rubens, no Fernando, no Fisi, no Taku, no Webber.

I hope very much that Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA will realise these teams importance in this sport and that they will be able to find a way for these teams to line up on the grid in 2005.

Meanwhile, please pledge your support for the Minnows here.
