Recent press reports say that the Chelsea Football team owner, Roman Abramovich has been in talks with Eddie in respect to purchasing the team lock, stock and barrelski!

Jordan say that Eddie and Roman have met twice, but have played down rumours that Mr Abramovich is on the lookout to buy.  According to the BBC, Jordan say that the two have met on two separate occasions, once at a Grand Prix and again at a football match.

"Other than that, it is positive to see the level of interest in Formula One and in our team," said the spokesperson.  "Eddie's interest is in the security of the team and making it as competitive as possible."  

That's not a no there then.

According to the Sun Newspaper, Abramovich has offered 150m for the team, a figure that some put at way past the teams worth.  The same rumours now put Jacques Villeneuve at the very top of the teams drivers shopping list.

Time will tell.
