Jordan have announced the signing James Robinson, replacing Gary Anderson as the head of race and test engineering. James's has held senior engineering roles with Mclaren, BAR and Williams.

James will join the teams Technical Management Group, working alongside the likes of Nicolo Petrucci and John McQuilliam.

James may not be the only new member of the team.  Speaking to Germany's SID Sports News Agency, Nicks manager Werner Heinz said that the German driver had signed a provisional deal with Jordan.  "We've accepted a compromise. Nick's basic wages will be lowered but in exchange he'll have more of his own space available for sponsors."

The deal seems dependent on Jordan being able to find the funds to continue racing next season.  If so, Nick will take a drop in salary from the wage that Sauber paid him.

Nick and Jordan will head to Jerez this week for three days testing developmental parts on the EJ13.  Nick is to drive for all three days of the test and will be joined by Jarek Janis.
