Dennis: Jordan deserve more help than Minardi

Ron Dennis has said that Jordan are more deserving than Minardi and that they should recieve a greater proportion of the fighting fund to be set up by the FIA.

The Mclaren boss told reporters "I feel strongly that what help is given should not be equal to those two teams as I don't see them as equal in grand prix racing. Jordan have a long established history of competing in grand prix racing, led by a colorful and aggressive individual whose skills of survival are finely honed," he said.

Dennis who has had run in's with Minardi's team boss Paul Stoddard said that both Minardi and Jordan have had problems but that Stoddart had been more vocal in making his complaints. "While he (Eddie Jordan) has been known to have a degree of vocal complaint, this pales in comparison to that of Paul Stoddart." He said.

Eddie Jordan has saud that the team are not in the business of requesting handouts and we revealed that Jordan are confident of the futured despite a worrying (from the fans perspective) start to the year.
