FIA allow testing on GP Friday's

The FIA have confirmed that a sufficient number of teams have opted to limit their test sessions to just 10 days per year. In return, those teams will be able to run a third car and driver during special sessions on every Friday of a Grand Prix meeting.

Sauber have said that they will be testing their cars in the normal way.  It has not been announced who has agreed to the FIA's plan.  Jordan have not confirmed which option was favoured by the team, however with the teams proximity to Silverstone, I would doubt that their option was to run on Fridays.  Jordan have an extensive test team and flying them out to Grand Prix's would not be beneficial to the teams already stretched finances.

Meanwhile, both Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato returned to Silverstone.  Fisi had his seat fitting for the EJ13 and was impressed by the progress being made on next years contender.  “It’s looking pretty good,” said Fisi, “and I’m glad it won’t be long now until I can drive it for the first time.”  Taku was a guest at the teams Christmas party which was held at the factory over the weekend.
