Another one leaves, but luckily we have a line.
Spend.

Our Line is going to be busy. Next season alone it is going to have to play several roles, one it will have to attempt to revive flagging season ticket sales, so many appear to be voting with their feet over the current direction of our great club, that we now have the unedifying spectacle of advertising general sale, like and I hate to say it, free ticket Mackems.
Obviously we will just fail to get these supporters back across the line, it will be a close run thing, but our demands will simply be too much for the club to bear, you know demands like some money spent, at least an attempt at a cup run, to stop the club functioning merely as an advertising front, that sort of thing.
Then of course our line will have to actually help on the pitch, our already threadbare squad is becoming more threadbare by the day with James Tavernier moving to Wigan becoming the latest to depart.
Of course there is quite a while to go in this transfer window, but events so far seem to be all too predictable, this player wants too much money! This club is asking too much! The agents shirt is offensive, that sort of thing.
Season tickets will pick up instantly, if the club would simply show some ambition.
But too many times has this current regime, flouted the old ‘we just failed to get him over the line’ chestnut, that no-one with half a functioning brain cell now believes a word they say.
I am at the point now where if they told me it was raining I would go outside to check I was getting wet.
I would love to be wrong, so come on surprise me for once and hopefully I will eat these words.
