FIA President, Jean Todt said lack of evidence is what helped Ferrari from getting further penalised by the WMSC.
In his interview to BBC, he said, "Before you say you're guilty, you need to be able to prove that you're guilty."
"I mean everybody there has denied that it was a team order."
When told that everybody watching were in no doubt that team orders was issued, he responded, "I tend to agree as well. You should ask the people who have been deliberating to that."
He further said, that the issue was not whether the team should have lost point, but which driver should have finished first and who second.
"I feel that Ferrari were first and second, nobody can say in which order it should have been. The decision was in the order that they finished the race."
