Ferrari to test F-Duct tomorrow

Autosport is reporting that Ferrari would be testing an F-duct on the F10 tomorrow during the free practice session.

The F-duct has been successfully implemented by the McLaren team, that gives better straightline speed to the car, while stalling the rear wing as the driver close off a valve in the cockpit. 

All teams have been busy in developing their own version of the F-duct and Ferrari it seems are ready to test their own version that will push the team to close the current pace setters Red Bull. 

The Sauber team has already successfully copied the concept, and Fernando Alonso feels the F-duct would also help Ferrari. 

"It will be an advantage, no doubt," Alonso said. "It is one of the longest straights in the championship and we know how efficient the McLaren is on the straights and what their top speed in the first races was.” 

Felipe Massa had a day before said that the McLaren team would be enjoying good advantage in the Shanghai track. 

"It's a nice circuit to drive and the extremely long straight leading into a tight corner means there is a real possibility to overtake," said Massa.

With the Williams team also rumoured to test their version of the F-duct, it will be an interesting weekend to look forward for fans.
