The SA06 will not be ready until the Hockenheim GP

After a few delays, the team have put announced the car wil not be out until the German Grand Prix in Hockenheim. On a postive note the new car has made progress, having passed the FIA crash tests.

The SA06 was first scheduled for a Imola release, however back then it seems that Honda have not given any support to the Super Aguri in regards to chassis development, and thus the previous deadline was unrealistic with the team's small and stretched work force. The new schedule was then to target the French GP, but with new plans like adopting an ambitious aluminum shift gearbox and obstacles such as an out of service wind tunnel (for five days) the car has yet again been delayed.

The team has a relatively small workforce and struggled just to get on the grid, so the creation of a chassis, the design and production of a new F1 car will be an amazing achievement.  The chief technical officer, Mark Preston has chosen not to attend the Canadian and US Grands Prix to ensure that the new car will be ready for Hockenheim. The SA06 has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests and is scheduled to be unleashed for the German grand prix, which takes place on the 28th of July.

Because the SA06 has been delayed for so long, expectations and intrigue about the car has grown among the fans, so I’m sure it is not only the team who expect the new car to be significantly better and more amazing then her predecessor.
