Montagny was part of a team finishing 2nd

Montagny was part of the Pescarolo team that included Eric Helary and Sebastian Loeb, they finished 2nd in the grueling 24 hour race. It is said that Loeb familiarised himself with the Le Mans circuit through a computer game.

The team managed to complete 9 laps more then the dominant diesel powered Audi sport team featuring ex F1 driver McNish. The trio finished 2nd despite qualifying 4th behind the other Pescarolo car. Although Montagny's group managed to leapfrog their sister car, the Pescarolo was not fast enough over the 24 hours to beat the Audi driven by a winning combination of Biela, Pirro and Werner also using a silent diesel car.

There is no rest for Montagny as he heads to Canada this week back racing for Super Aguri, where his chances of success are lower then that of last weekend in Le Mans.
