After some delay and resource problems the new car is going to schedule and expected to arrive on time for the French GP. Super Aguri also plan to start running a friday car at the Nurburgring.

The car Super Aguri use at the moment - the SA05, is a Honda V8 powered, four year old updated arrows. Having earlier suggested an ambitious imola arrival for their new car, the date was then shifted to Silverstone earliest, and now the new car is expected to be ready for the French GP, july the 16th - almost two thirds into the season although Financial Director Humphreys believe the SA06 could be ready before then, ""The French Grand Prix is our target. We actually want it just before that so we can do some testing at Silverstone." Humphrey adds, "We're just waiting for Honda to confirm the availability of some of the gearbox components which are critical to meeting that objective," he added. "The rest of the car is all on schedule."

He also revealed that Super Aguri will be running a third car on fridays starting from the next grand prix in Nurburgring, explaining that "It's a far more cost effective solution," (then independant testing etc).

So it seems that there is will be something to look forward to, although it still means that the team will have to "bare the pain" for a further six races before their own car will be ready.
