The SA06 is delayed until Silverstone, earliest

Honda bail out from helping Super Aguri to concentrate on their own problems. The SA06 will be created from scratch and independantly made, but due to the low resources available, the car will be delayed.

The initial plan was to replace the SA05 as quickly as possible by a new SA06 chassis jointly created with Honda. The situation has changed and Super Aguri find themselves creating the SA06 alone, thus the previously predicted date for the SA06 has been scrapped as it is unlikely to be ready for the opening round of the European Grand Prix.

As Daniel Audetto tells Autosport, it is now suggested that the new chassis will be ready during Silverstone earliest, and with the limited resources it will be developed with the SA05, "We think it will not be before Silverstone probably, so we have decided to go in parallel in developing the SA05 with developments that carry over to the SA06." Audetto mentions key areas that will be focused on, ""We will have a new gearbox, we will get the centre of gravity lower and we will also work on the weight distribution."
