Yamamoto will enter GP2

The new testing restrictions and his position in Super Aguri ensures that he has enough spare time to enter GP2, where he will be up against other F1 hopefuls.

Sakon Yamamoto will drive for BCN Competicion, "I am now very happy and excited about challenging in such a competitive category as GP2 for this 2007 season. I would like to thank all the people having supported me for realizing this opportunity. I will do as much as I can to fulfill the role in my position and I am looking forward for driving a GP2 car, I just can´t wait for the forthcoming test!"

 

BCN Competicion team boss Enrique Scalabroni hopes for a successful partnership, "Myself, Jaime Pintanel and the whole team are looking forward for a very successful GP2 Series Championship and all our efforts are spent along this way, this is why we chose Sakon as our driver.
