M16 electronics get the thumbs up from Albers

Currently there is no official information from the team, but Christijan Albers' website has published a quote from the driver giving some scant information about the work the team completed today.

Christijan is sheduled to test for the first two days of the test, with Tiago Monteiro and possible a mystery guest driver doing the honors for the last two dates. According to our sources the team are using an EJ15B chassis fitted with a Toyota V8 engine, and for the first time the 2006 M16 gearbox.

About todays work Christijan has said "It was a good day. We worked on the electronics that we'll fit on the new car when it's ready. I'm happy we could have done a lot of mileage, but it was unfortunately the track was damp for most of the day. Tomorrow we'll continue our work here at Silverstone."

We were tipped off late last week that this test was being heavily attended by team and driver sponsors, keeping the teams PR staff very busy. Christijan confirmed that in his closing comments. "It was great to see all the sponsors at Silverstone supporting me. The more than 30 guests visited the Midland factory and watched me carefully in the pitbox – you can imagine it was a pretty busy day! I am sure they've enjoyed their day at the factory and at the track."

Testing resumes tomorrow, with high cloud but dry conditions forecast in Northamptonshire.
