Christijan Albers gets in some early track time

Newly signed Dutchman Christijan Albers will compete in the Race of Champions – Nations Cup leading a Benelux team. It is expected that hordes of Dutch fans will flock to the Stade de France to see their man in action.

Christijan will be partnered with WRC ace Franþois Duval from Belgium, and together they will compete against teams from Brazil, Finland, France, Great Britain, Scandinavia and the US.

"I've heard so much about this race from Jean Alesi ," Christijan has been quoted as saying. "It's an honour to be the first Dutch driver to be invited and take part. I'm really looking forward to it, and to teaming up with Duval for Benelux. My aim's clear: to win."

After the event, the Dutchman is scheduled to join his new team at Jerez for their first official track outing.
