Spa 2009 - Qualifying and Practice Photo's
By Bigpip

The Belgian Grand Prix of 2009 saw quite possibly the biggest surprise of the year. Force India went from the back end of the grid straight to the front when Giancarlo Fisichella put the VJM02 onto the front row. Courtesy of Force India, here's part one of my pick of the best photo's from the weekend. Part two tomorrow.
Force India celebrate their first ever World Championship points at the
2009 Belgian Grand Prix, Spa-Francorchamps.

Pictures used with permission of Force India.

First practice was hit by the typical Belgian Grand Prix weather. Sunny one minute, pouring with rain the next.

The first corner La Source tackled by Giancarlo

G-forces act on the car pushing it down as the car enters the bottom of Eau Rouge. Adrian Sutil experiences 5g travelling full pelt towards the most famous corner in Grand Prix racing.

Adrian watches the timing during qualifying.

Giancarlo sets off on what would become his pole position run.

He's done it. Giancarlo sets the fastest lap time at the end of qualifying three putting the car at the very sharp end of the grid. Minnows no more!

Is there a change of having them in Hi-res?
