Crash for Fisi in Silverstone

After a pretty uneventful day of testing on Tuesday with Liuzzi at the wheel, Fisi took over on Wednesday creating high drama for the Force India team. The Roman was caught out by strong British winds at Becketts and went off into the barriers. He was taken to hospital but happily he is fine - unlike his car which could not be run again after lunch due to the damage.
Fisi said, "It's a real shame we couldn't do more running in the afternoon as this morning it was all looking quite good. The car felt quicker even though the balance was not so good because of the high winds.
"Unfortunately I just got caught out by a change in grip and balance going through Becketts and went off the track and hit the barriers. I wasn't hurt at all, but I did not take my hands off the wheel and they had to do some checks to make sure my wrist was OK."
Also on display today was a shark fin engine cover akin to that of Renault and the Red Bull teams.
After completing just 52 laps, Fisi's lap was the slowest of the day - over 1.5s off the pace-setter, McLaren's Kovalainen.
Mike Gascoyne echoed Fisi's optimism about how the car was looking pre-crash, "Unfortunately some of the new components were damaged and we weren't able to go out again. It was a shame as we had actually had a very useful morning with the new parts and certainly made some progress."
Adrian will round up proceedings on Thursday.
Tomorrow they will test some new (hopefully front) suspension parts. Because the team still can't use the tires optimally and especially the front ones....
And this is pretty important for Qualifying.
Well we'll know tomorrow because especially Sutil had problems with it I thought.
