We wondered whether we were going to get an invite this year, and you can image our reaction when it arrived in the inbox. This time, however, it was different - we'd been here before - we were more prepared, and knew what to expect. Didn't stop us from having a good day though...

Last year, for the Midland launch we were soooo nervous but this year not so. Yes, there was a slight flutter as we walked in but as soon as we saw someone that we recognised the nerves vanished.

The format of this years launch was simple. An hour to get everyone in and registered, a brief call from Tony Jardine to get everyone into the presentation room and minutes later the new car had been unveiled and various members of the team were being interviewed. The video clips that I took, and that are presented here on the site, are more or less the complete presentation show barring a couple of questions from the floor at the end.

The emphasis today was definitely on allowing everyone the chance to interview their driver or team member of choice, and there was plenty of time to do it. We got there at 10:30, the presentation was done by 12:00 and we left at 14:30 having had plenty of time to get all the images we could possibly hope for.

Maybe next year we'll be even more organised and ask you, the fans, for questions to put to the drivers and get an interview spot and ask them.

Below is a link to my fotopic gallery presenting the cream of my images from today - warning: this will open in a new window.
