China: Christijan Albers penalised post race

As Christijan said after the race in the team comments, this race was one to forget. The race stewards didn't see it that way and added a penalty to the Dutchman's list of reasons to put the Chinese Grand Prix behind him.

News emerged after the race had finished that Takuma Sato, who finished ahead of the sole Spyker MF1 car, had been disqualified for his actions that resulted in the last lap accident at Shanghai today.

This promoted Christijan from 16th to 15th.

However, the stewards also reprimanded Albers for failing to obey the blue flags, but escaped disqualification due to the fact that this was the first time this season that he had been found guilty of such an offense.

Christijan had 25 seconds added to his time, but ultimately it made no difference to his final finishing classification. FormulaOne.com are still showing his final position as 15th.
