Spyker MF1 livery revealed

We've all seen the new M16 livery at the Silverstone test last week, and were eagerly awaiting the first glimpse of the team Spyker MF1 team gear. Surprisingly it was just the driver's suits that got the treatment, with the mechanics still using the existing Midland F1 shirts (for the moment).

A full display of images from the presentation can be found at the team's media site at www.spykermf1racingmedia.com

The team were due to make this presentation yesterday at 09:00 local time, but we have since learned that it was cancelled for reasons unknown. The event was held outside the team garage at Shanghai at 09:00 local time today, and the picture below more than does justice to what was on show.

The new driver suits emulate the team's orange and silver colour scheme, but the silver on the car has been replaced by dark grey. Undoubtedly this is to highlight the sponsor logos which are picked out in white and would otherwise be relatively invisible on a paler background.

It is unknown at this time whether the mechanics shirts and other team gear will get the same treatment for the remainder of this season, but if we find out we'll be sure to let you know.
