Positive first full test day for the new BMW F1.07

After yesterday’s roll-out this was the first day of testing with the BMW Sauber F1.07. Nick was on duty to drive the new car, Robert was doing comparisons with the F1.06B.

Programme: After yesterday’s roll-out this was the first day of testing with the BMW Sauber F1.07. Nick was on duty to drive the new car, Robert was doing comparisons with the F1.06B. The programme was mainly system checks.
Willy Rampf, Technical Director of the BMW Sauber F1 Team, said: “One day after the launch this was a very productive day of testing in Valencia with the new BMW Sauber F1.07. We almost completed our system checks. Beside this Nick started with some set-up work. This had a good impact on the handling of the car. We are happy so far.”
What comes next: Tomorrow as well as on Friday the team will be exclusively running in Valencia. The drivers on duty will be Robert in the F1.07 and Sebastian Vettel in the F1.06B. The next two test days are focused on collecting data and system checks.
