The countdown is underway: on 16th January 2007 we will be unveiling the BMW Sauber F1.07 to the public in Valencia. That means we will be the 2nd team to unveil their car, one day after Mclaren-Mercedes.

For months, the engineers have been working on the new car for Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel. The result of their efforts will be unveiled in mid-January at Valencia's fair district, the 'Feria de Valencia', to be presented to the world public for the very first time. In addition to the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers, BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, Technical Director Willy Rampf as well as Peter Sauber also will be on site to answer the journalists' questions.

"We came up with the initial ideas for the new car in May 2006," reveals Theissen, "And the aerodynamics department in Hinwil has been concentrating on the development work for next year's F1.07 since August. While the bulk of the design work began in Hinwil's design department in September."

Following the launch of the car, scheduled for 09.00hrs, the exiting roll-out of the BMW Sauber F1.07 at the Circuit de la Comunitat will take place at 13.00hrs. Just as it was the case in this year's launch, the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers are going to again complete some laps, on the Spanish circuit.
