More than a month after the last race of the 2006 season, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will be in action again on 28th November in Barcelona. Robert Kubica is already eagerly anticipating the moment when he can once more sit behind the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1.06.

"One month without driving is just a bit too much", says Robert, who will test at the "Circuit de Catalunya" in late November with Nick Heidfeld and GP2 driver Timo Glock. "The short break was, however, good because during the last two or three months, I took part in every testing session. Additionally, the last three races of the 2006 season took place in overseas locations."

The Polish driver can look back on a satisfying 2006 season performance. Robert already experienced a great race in his maiden Formula One appearance at the Hungarian Grand Prix. In Monza, he was then able to celebrate the first podium finish of his career. Accordingly, the rookie positively reviews year one: "The season was very good for me," Robert comments. "I started as a test driver and then I was promoted to a race seat. Some things could have gone better, but there is no point in coming back to them. The good results in our first season show our potential, and with a good car we can fight for good results next year once more."
