November 12 2006
The maiden season of the BMW Sauber F1 Team ended in Brazil. Following a well deserved break, the testing schedule for November and December has now been fixed. Former GP2 driver Timo Glock will join the team for two testing days.
At the end of November, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will kick off its preparations for the forthcoming Formula One season. The first test will take place at the 'Circuit de Catalunya' near Barcelona, Spain. Timo Glock will take to the track at the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1.06 for the first time. The team's race drivers, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica, are scheduled to share the rest of the testing work.
A week later, the team travels to the south of Spain, to Jerez. Next to Nick, Robert and Timo, and the official test and reserve driver of the BMW Sauber F1 Team, Sebastian Vettel, will also be on duty at the 'Circuito de Jerez' to conduct a testing programme.
In the middle of December, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will conclude its 2006 testing schedule and return to Jerez once more. Here, Nick, Robert and Sebastian will conduct the final tests of the year.
